In 1849, while on one of his numerous expeditions. Howard Stansbury (1806–1863), an Army topographer, made a discovery that would leave its mark on American History. With a team of brave, passionate and free men, those ordinary heroes faced the elements to pursue a human adventure in the Great Lakes Region. Those Pioneers didn’t shun from defying Nature’s Laws in order to live fully their adventure and to go beyond their own limits: Surrounded by spectacular landscape, they left their print on the American soil. This Discovery is now named after the leader of those men, an island in the middle of the desert. Stansbury & Co draws its origins from the United States, from the very boundaries of the Great Salt Lake and its wild, authentic, spectacular landscapes.
